On January 1, 2026; Amy Conklin Stamm was sworn into office as Supervisor of the Town of Stony Point, New York. The Town of Stony Point is historic, and Amy made history as the first female to assume the office of Supervisor since its founding in 1865.
Amy is a lifelong Stony Pointer and previously served as the Deputy Supervisor. She is proud to follow in the footsteps of her Grandfather, Lucien Conklin, former Supervisor, and Grandmother, JoAnn Conklin, former Councilwoman.
Amy’s mission as Town Supervisor is to lead with open and transparent government, protect taxpayer dollars through careful and thoughtful budgeting, and guide responsible planning by updating the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. She is committed to maintaining our community’s quality of life and small-town character while thoughtfully preparing for the future.
Aside from her position as Supervisor, she is a proud local volunteer. She serves as Secretary of the First United Methodist Church Board of Trustees, and as a member of the Palisades Interstate Park Historical Society, Stony Point Lions Club, and Stony Point Republican Committee. Amy and her husband, Brian, have two sons, Michael and Ben.
