The Town of Stony Point invites all residents and local business owners to celebrate the historic 250th Anniversary of the United States by participating in the America 250 Patriotic Decorating Contest. This event encourages the community to showcase their national pride through creative displays visible from the street, featuring everything from American flags and historical Revolutionary War themes to elaborate red, white, and blue light arrangements. The official decorating period runs from May 31 through July 4, 2026, with judging occurring between June 15 and June 30. Participants will be evaluated on their creativity, visual impact, and overall adherence to the patriotic theme as they compete for titles such as Best Overall Patriotic Display and the Youth/Family Choice Award. Winners will be officially announced on July 8, 2026, during the opening night of the Town Carnival. To honor their efforts, victors will receive a Commemorative America 250 Trophy, a Town of Stony Point Prize Pack containing a special coin and shirt, and additional rewards contributed by local businesses.
